Xiglip

Xiglip is a type of drug called Dipeptidyl Peptidase-4 inhibitors (DPP-4 inhibitor). It works by inhibiting the DPP-4 enzyme, which typically breaks down certain gut hormones called incretins.

By inhibiting the enzyme, sitagliptin increases the levels of these active incretin hormones.

Incretins help the body regulate blood sugar by promoting the pancreas to release more insulin after a meal and reducing the amount of glucose produced by the liver.
