Urica is an anti-gout ( Xanthine oxidase inhibitor) it inhibits xanthine oxidase, thus reducing the production of uric acid in the blood. It is used in the treatment of chronic hyperuricemia conditions where urate deposition has already occurred including history of presence of tophus and or gouty arthritis.
