Gablin Plus, a combination of pregabalin 75 mg and mecobalamin 750 mcg, is an antiepileptic/ vitamin.
Pregabalin binds to alpha-2-delta protein (an auxillary subunit of voltage-gated calcium channels) in the central nervous system.
Mecobalamin acts as an important cofactor in the reaction of B12 enzymes, the methyltransferases. Deficiency of vitamin B12 results in the lack of mecobalamin and has been associated with peripheral neuropathy.
Gablin Plus is indicated for the treatment of neuropathic pain in patients with diabetic neuropathy and post herpetic neuralgia.
