Formulation
Each 5 mL (1 teaspoonful) of syrup contains:
Salbutamol (as Sulfate) ………. 2 mg
Indication
Relief of bronchospasm in obstructive airway disease, e.g., bronchial asthma, emphysema and chronic bronchitis.
Dosage
Children 2 – 6 years: 2.5 to 5 mL given 3 to 4 times daily
Children 6 – 12 years: 5 mL given 3 to 4 times daily
Children over 12 years: 5 – 10 mL to be cautiously increased to a total dose not to exceed 60 mL per day
Elderly: 5 mL 3 to 4 times daily to be cautiously adjusted to 20 mL if necessary
Adults: 5 – 10 mL 3 to 4 times daily with a total dose of up to 80 mL
